Dog Parks and Adjacent Vegetation: Planning a Treatment Review

Account for animal use, public access and explicit exclusions in a shared-property inquiry.

By Wildfire Treatment Group.

Show how the site is used

Identify fenced exercise space, entry areas, water points and vegetation outside the park. Explain whether dogs use adjoining paths or informal areas beyond the fence. The actual use pattern is relevant information for product and site review and should not be replaced by a simple dog-park label.

Ask for specific instructions

Request a clear explanation of any proposed application areas, exclusions and applicable access instructions. Do not assume that a broad product claim answers every animal-use question. If the responsible manager cannot implement the required arrangement, raise that before a date is confirmed.

Keep the approved scope accessible

WTG’s planned vegetation service does not replace animal-care advice or park operating rules. Name a contact for schedule changes and unexpected site conditions. Retain the map in the park maintenance file and report later changes to fencing, irrigation or use before requesting follow-up work. Avoid implying that the park as a whole has been certified.
