Identify the feature accurately
Tell the reviewer whether the area is a swale, detention feature, drainage channel or another managed facility, if known. Supply available plans and the responsible maintenance contact. A dry appearance during a visit does not provide enough information to assume unrestricted treatment suitability.
Bring the relevant requirements
Ask the property’s responsible professional or manager about restrictions affecting work in that feature. The applicator must review the product instructions and actual site. Mark any pending questions as unresolved; do not invent a buffer distance or assume permission from a general landscape contract.
Exclude uncertainty from the scope
For WTG, show the feature in the proposed map and clarify approved boundaries before work. A vegetation quote does not include engineering, drainage repair or authorization to apply near every water-related feature. If conditions or flows differ from the review, communicate the change and let the provider determine the appropriate next step.
