The WTG approach

What happens before, during and after wildfire treatment?

From your first questions to the completed treatment record, WTG helps you understand the work and decide what fits your property.

1. Tell us about your property

Start with the address, property type and your priorities. You might be thinking about vegetation behind your home, a separate barn or shared neighborhood grounds. An approximate treatment area and optional photographs help start the discussion. You do not need a technical plan. Submitting the form gives you a receipt confirmation and sends the inquiry to WTG for review.

2. Review the areas and proposal

We consider the proposed vegetation, access and site conditions, then clarify the treatment boundaries and exclusions. This is the time to discuss landscaping work, irrigation, water features and how people or animals use the property. You receive a property-specific scope and price to review before scheduling. If your priorities change, the proposed work should be updated and confirmed.

3. Coordinate the application day

Agree on access and any preparation with WTG and the person managing your property. Let us know about parked vehicles, locked gates, other contractors or occupied areas that could affect the visit. Weather and site conditions must be appropriate for the work to proceed. Any site-use instructions should be based on the actual product and application plan, rather than a generic time quoted online.

4. Treat the agreed areas

WTG’s service focuses on professional ground application of Komodo long-term retardant to suitable vegetation and fuels. The crew works to the agreed scope and applicable product instructions. A vegetation proposal does not mean every exterior surface or item on the property will be sprayed. Material changes to the scope need to be discussed rather than silently added.

5. Receive the record and discuss follow-up

The completion record identifies the work performed and relevant changes or observations. Keep it where you, your caretaker or your grounds team can find it. We discuss follow-up considerations, including weather exposure, irrigation, new growth and later property work. Continued property care and official emergency guidance remain part of your wider preparedness.

  • Understand which areas were treated
  • Keep the application details and agreed exclusions
  • Share relevant changes to the grounds
  • Confirm the scope and price of any additional work
