Retardant

Product Documents to Request Before a Retardant Application

Connect product identity and instructions to the actual service being proposed.

By Wildfire Treatment Group.

Get an identifiable product

Ask the provider to name the exact product intended for your project and the documentation governing its use. A brand name alone may not answer every formulation or application question. Keep the supplied documents with the dated proposal so the record shows what was discussed before work.

Ask how they relate to your site

Point out the intended vegetation, sensitive areas and surfaces you want excluded. Ask the applicator to explain how the current instructions inform suitability, preparation and access. If a document does not answer your question, request clarification from the appropriate source rather than interpreting a marketing summary as a universal approval.

Record any substitution

If the proposed product changes, ask for the updated identity and relevant instructions before authorizing the changed work. WTG’s quote should remain tied to the agreed application scope. Product paperwork, field documentation and any independent qualification serve different purposes; keep them identifiable so a later reader can trace the decision without assuming one document proves everything.
