Read the quote as a description of work
Begin with what the proposal includes: the locations, suitable vegetation, application work and any preparation or exclusions. Compare it with the priorities you raised. A useful review is not just whether the total fits your budget, but whether you and WTG understand the same project.
Resolve questions before approval
Ask about unclear boundaries, area estimates, product identity or site-use arrangements. If there are optional areas, confirm whether their prices are separate or included in the total. Do not assume that submitting an intake form accepted a contract or reserved an appointment. The proposal and subsequent confirmation should establish the actual arrangements.
Describe changes by location
It is reasonable for priorities to change. Use the proposal’s area names and current photos to explain what you want added or removed. “Remove Area B and review the lower garden edge” gives us a clear starting point. Changes can affect preparation, access, price and timing; a smaller area does not necessarily reduce the total proportionally, and an added area may need a separate visit.
Keep one agreed version
For a material change, ask for an updated scope and matching map that clearly replace the earlier version. Send the revision to anyone handling access or preparation. If it depends on construction, pruning or another owner’s approval, confirm those details before the visit.
Confirm approval and scheduling
Once your questions are answered, confirm approval, scheduling and payment arrangements under the actual agreement. Keep the agreed proposal and name the person authorized to approve further changes. Submitting the intake form starts the conversation; it does not accept a contract or reserve an appointment.
Prepare the people caring for the property
Share relevant preparation and access arrangements with the caretaker or grounds contractor. Confirm who will communicate readiness and receive completion information. If you have not requested a quote yet, start with an address, approximate treatment area and photos; the review conversation can clarify the details from there.
