Check the official chipping program
Colorado Springs lists a neighborhood chipping program among its wildfire mitigation resources. Confirm current eligibility, scheduling and material-preparation requirements with the city. Do not stage material based on an old notice or assume every address qualifies for the same service.
Plan for the finished condition
Clarify what happens to the material and what your property will look like after the program work. Keep the completed areas and any remaining debris identified. If a separate contractor is involved, assign preparation and cleanup responsibilities so neither party assumes the other will finish them.
Review pretreatment afterward
WTG’s planned ground application is a separate private service. Share current photos and the remaining vegetation you want considered after clearing or chipping. Participation in a city program does not automatically approve or fund WTG work. Any application scope still needs its own suitability review, boundaries, exclusions and scheduling confirmation.
