Read exclusions alongside the map
An exclusion matters most when you can locate it. Ask the provider to identify surfaces, vegetation areas or tasks outside the proposed work. Compare the text with the map and your original priorities. If an area you expected is missing, ask why before assuming it was overlooked.
Distinguish three situations
An area may be unsuitable, outside the agreed budget or simply awaiting more information. These are different decisions. Ask the proposal to make the reason clear where it affects future planning. Likewise, distinguish a task another contractor must complete from work that no one has yet agreed to perform.
Carry exclusions into the record
For WTG, the completion documentation should not imply that the entire parcel received application. Keep the approved exclusions and any field changes with it. Share the relevant version with caretakers or managers so a later person does not mistake a general service invoice for a map of every treated area.
